Competencies
Competencies
Our core competencies represent the specialized expertise that defines RT-Europe’s leadership in science and technology. By continuously investing in these scientific pillars, we sustain our role as a hub for innovation, tackling the most complex global health challenges. Through cutting-edge research and strategic collaboration with industry and academia, we maintain a vibrant environment that attracts world-class talent.
Our research centers on three primary areas:
Extracellular Vesicles: We focus on the application of extracellular vesicles in both diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
Immunology & Microbiology: We specialize in infectious diseases, pathogen-host interactions, infectious challenge models, and the development of advanced vaccine technologies.
Inflammation: We address acute and chronic inflammatory conditions along with healthy aging through the development of innovative medical devices, diagnostics, and therapeutics.
Innovative Research and Development
Innovative Research and Development
RT-Europe Research Center has the capacity to support novel vaccine and diagnostic assay development for both humans and animals.
Vaccine Development: RT-Europe Research Center’s has extensive experience to support the registration of vaccines, and our team has completed challenge VICH clinical studies for the registration of vaccines. RT-Europe in collaboration with biotech partners has participated in the research of platform technologies of novel mucosal vaccines. RT-Europe Research Center has extensive experience with mycoplasmas, herpes viruses, influenza viruses, oncogenic viruses and single stranded RNA viruses (PRRSV).
Our team has participated in the development of a protype vaccine against an oncogenic virus.
Diagnostics Development: RT-Europe Research team has developed highly sensitive 4 color PCR testing for the detection of any PRRSV virus, including the highly pathogenic strain. Our team also developed more efficient, fast RNA isolation method and other research tools.
RT-Europe Research Center has developed several international collaborations in infectious diseases and vaccines.
Inflammation: RT-Europe team has participated in the development of innovative medical device to supplement cancer treatment. Our team has been invited to collaborate with international biotech partners to develop and test medical devices that addresses chronic inflammation.
Extracellular Vesicles: Our team started to work with extracellular vesicles in 2008 as part of our research project on EBV. This work was extended to develop novel tools for the isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles. Currently our team is working on liquid biopsy diagnostic assays and extracellular vesicles based therapies.
